Work History

NYB Basketball Coach (25 Plus Teams)

City of Nampa
Nampa, Idaho
10.2005 - 11.2023

I taught basic skills to many different boys and girls teams. I coached them for six weeks having games once a week. I organized snack schedules for after the games and did an awards ceremony after the season was over. I had a lot of success and coached throughout the last 20 years. It was rewarding to help the kids love the game of basketball and develop skills and have success. I was a coach that cared about each child's success and even though 1 of my 10 children were always on the team, most people were not sure which child was mine unless they saw them leave with me as I treated everyone as important. I love coaching.

Soccer Coach

Premier Soccer club
Nampa, Idaho
09.2005 - 11.2020

This is a sport I have never played on a team myself. I was hesitant to coach but some of my kids teams needed one. I had a friend who coached at Nampa High School at the time so I asked her proper technique's and other important coaching information. I coached three teams at the same time my first year and ended up playing with the older teams I coached and learned to love and know the game. I coached off and on for the next 10 years, but usually just one team at a time and no more than 2, (as three was a bit too much) I had many children love soccer and one that I coached most was able to play with Skyview's 2020 championship runner up team. His name was Travis Flake.

Volley Ball Coach

young woman in lds church
Nampa, Idaho
10.2005 - 03.2015

I was asked to coach the young woman's volleyball for our Ward in the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints. The ages ranged from 12 years old to 18 years old. We had a lot of success winning three championships in the 5 years they did have championship games. I loved teaching skills and seeing the girls not only have success, but see their confidence and relationships with the other girls soar. They no longer hold those kind of volleyball teams, but it will be something I remember forever. I also helped referee games for adults in the church.

I became third chair that next year and then first chair the following two years. I was given two solo's in the marching Band performances my senior year. I lettered in Volleyball, Basketball, cross country and Track. I cleared 4'10" my senior year in the high jump and went to state multiple years for long jump and high jump. During my final awards ceremony my senior year I was awarded the highest honor in Band. I received the John Phillip Sousa award. I also received the MVP Athlete of the year. I loved and cherish my high school years and my activities which gave me the confidence, strength and ability to raise a large family and coach for so many years.
