  • I am responsible for treating and managing any negative medical reaction they have while donating.
  • I have experience managing multiple medical reactions such as hypotensive vasavagal, seizures, severe citrate reaction, anaphylaxis, and a variety of more including a full on arrest.
  • In each situation, I have followed my SOP exactly, making sure I provided care as efficiently as possible while staying within my scope of practice and company guidelines.
  • I give physical examinations to thoroughly review the donors' physical health, go over all medical history, and medication.
  • In my physical exam, I examine the donor from head to toe to ultimately decide if they are physically and mentally fit to donate, without it being harmful to themselves or causing any complications medically.
  • I excelled in my examinations so much that my examination became the model for how all physical substitutes are to perform at the center.
  • I have also helped aid in the training of multiple physician substitutes, and furthered their education within the company to ensure they are working as efficiently as well.
  • My duties also include reviewing blood samples to determine donor suitability, reviewing plasma donations to make sure plasma is acceptable and meets our criteria and counseling donors for blood results of any serious disease or condition.I counsel donors on what they should do next if diagnosed.
  • I excelled in my responsibilities so much that I was given an opportunity to travel for the company nationally and to be promoted.
  • I am very familiar with traveling nationwide for the company, as I was sent to multiple locations, such as Baltimore, Ohio, New York, Virginia, Wisconsin, and more.
  • I believe the impact I made at the locations was significant because I was always requested to return once I was sent elsewhere.
  • While doing so I worked out of our corporate office and assisted with the training of new employees of struggling and understaffed centers who are not performing to their projected heights.
  • While on the travel team, I help train in all areas, as I am trained in all areas of the center. I trained in phlebotomy, for which I have years of experience, and I have helped collect the plasma of thousands of donors.
  • I trained in the lab, as I have worked directly with blood samples and plasma.
