General Manager for Mozambique & Angola

  • Led the construction, organizational set up and business accounts of the first Tier III, carrier and cloud neutral, colocation Data Centers in the Southern African region’s Lusophone countries (Mozambique and Angola).
  • Built from the ground up managed import and inland logistics in two countries simultaneously, with an investment valued at $50M in the span of 26 months, with positive % sales growth YoY.
  • Coordinated resources with multi country and multi continent to ensure optimal Data Centre commissioning, testing and go live, while building a strong pipeline of first movers to ramp up business operations from day 1.
  • Acted as the organization’s liaison to the government and public offices in each country for the relevant matters.
  • Brand ambassador in the region and represented Raxio Data Centre in working groups, regional conferences, associations, and among sectorial peers.

  • Designed and implemented ‘Business Turnaround Plan’ for struggling Province Nampula, hiring and mentoring new leadership and implementing a credit-first phased approach to resuming full sales velocity. Province is now responsible for 43% of sales and 2021 cohorts are in-line with budget for national risk metrics.

  • Used publicly available rural electrification, satellite imagery and district level income data and designed a tool to prioritize expansion into 15 new areas with average revenue 30% above previous national average.
