I know my addition to your growing team in the Elevator union would exceed your expectations. My roles in previous and current jobs have proven my ability to lead, learn, and communicate in any role that I’m placed in.
Being brought into the industry would be very rewarding to me knowing I can work and learn in a lasting career. I would take this opportunity and work towards being in a leadership role within the company to better the lives of others within the industry along with growing the company and myself.
I am currently a small engine technician.
A majority of my time consists of working on lawn and small construction equipment (Lawn mowers, lawn tractors, snowblowers, generators, handheld units, etc).
In my time as a technician I have learned how to rebuild motors, install and fix carburetors, run/ repair belt and chain driven components and perform preventative maintenance to prolong a machines life.
As well as hands on experience in the industry I have attended an electrical lawn equipment class and finished two online classes teaching me Scag lawn equipment repair and maintenance. These two classes have made me silver certified with Scag. In early February I have a final class with Scag which would grant me with being a Gold certified Technician with Scag.
In my Time at Accurate Tree Service my role was being a Laborer.
I was in charge of moving the downed trees and shrubs from our site to the wood chipper.
It was a short lived job experience due to the labor to pay ratio. I did have a few great take aways from this position, the biggest one being learning how to effectively communicate with multiple people to ensure a smooth and safe operation.
While at QMI I was a bead blaster and a CNC operator. This position was a very rewarding job for me due to the discipline it taught me.
I went from my first job (landscaping) to this position, which was 4:30 am -3:00 pm so it was a pretty hard transition for me at first between the hours and the repetitiveness of bead blasting identical parts for up to months at a time.
I had some big take aways from it that helped me form an amazing work ethic.
I left due to knowing it wouldn’t be a forever job or a job I could make a rewarding career out of.
Western Landscape was my first full time job out of High school.
I absolutely loved working landscape due to me being able to see the progress and product out of my hard work.
I spent most of my time laying pavers and cinder blocks to create patios, retaining walls and walk ways. This job came to a quick end once winter hit and we were slow on work.
I had a taste of making money and a consistent schedule and I wanted to keep the ball rolling.
My biggest attribute is my drive and my will to be better than I was yesterday
Throughout my different careers I have learned that my work ethic and my willingness to continue learning sets me far apart from most others My confidence in completing variable tasks leads me to achieve things I’ve dreamed of since I was little
