One accomplishment, I had been transferred to Asheville, NC with Conoco Inc. My store had approximately 853 skus in the entire store. I partnered with the vendors and increased my total skus to almost 1500. I remerchandised the store and organized the schematics to be customer-focused. Over time, I continued to delete and add products to meet customer needs and maximize profits. Later, an automotive company bought the adjacent property. I told my DM that if he was planning to put a carwash at my location, now would be the time. I soon had my carwash and was told it would pay for itself in 7 to 12 years. With my in-store promotions and self-maintenance program my carwash paid for itself in less than 4 years, my profitability kept growing until Hess bought our district from SC.
