I am a licensed physical therapist with 12 years of clinical experience, primarily in geriatrics, and I am eager to transition to a role working with a new patient population. School based physical therapy is particularly appealing to me because it aids in assisting students overcome physical challenges and maximize their participation in the classroom. With mentorship from an experienced school based PT, I am confident in my ability to quickly develop the skills needed to manage a caseload, collaborate with families and teachers, and develop effective IEPs. During my DPT coursework, I completed a pediatrics specialty course and participated in research projects with CHOP as well as the effects of hippotherapy for autism. While I am committed until the beginning of September, I look forward to exploring opportunities to support student success in a school based setting.
