As a Medical Staff Specialist at Iris Telehealth, I leverage my extensive experience in credentialing and licensing to ensure the highest standards of quality and compliance in the industry. With a combined 13 years of experience in healthcare at Iris Telehealth & Northern Light Health, I have developed a strong background in client-focused credentialing services, onboarding processes, including comprehensive knowledge of state-specific medical licensing regulations across the nation. I am passionate about delivering exceptional service and support to healthcare professionals and organizations, and I am always eager to learn new skills and technologies to enhance my performance and contribute to the growth and success of my team and organization.

My current responsibilities include:

• Nationwide licensing for Registered Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Medical Doctors, and Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine – Including, but not limited to: application completion, documentation retrieval and submission, applicable verifications, and follow up with applicants and state Board contacts
• Internal credentialing
• External credentialing with Healthcare Partners
• Scheduling local Drug Testing, Background Check and Notary appointments for clinicians
• DEA, CDS/CSR, PMP assistance
• Database management and monitoring.

In my prior role as a Credentialing Associate for Northern Light Health, I handled many credentialing duties with great success.

Allow me to summarize a few items that demonstrate my abilities and achievements:

• Proctored large volumes of reappointment credentialing for Northern Light Health hospital system (10+ facilities)
• Responsible to train and educate new employees in reappointment credentialing
• Create and maintain department directives
• Communicate effectively with medical staff office employees, clinical providers, and colleagues regarding time-sensitive credentialing matters
• Multitask to perform a variety of credentialing duties, including data entry, reports, primary source verification, quality assurance, and database maintenance
• Improved departmental statistics and helped to streamline processes
• Nominated as an “EMHS Allstar” for my desire to learn, positive attitude, efficiency and flexibility

Prior to working for Northern Light Home Office as a Credentialing Associate, I worked with Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center as an Insurance Verification Specialist and Patient Access Associate. Within this position, I handled various roles at an assortment of locations, including Preregistration, Registration, Walk-In Care Reception, and coordinator positions. This position required extensive versatility, and I am truly proud of the knowledge and invaluable experience I gained through my part in the Revenue Cycle.

• Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) – I am eligible for this certification and am currently studying to sit for examination.
• Certified Health Access Associate (CHAA) – I held active certification when working as Insurance Verification Specialist with Northern Light Health.
