Emily Solomon

Throughout the past few years, I have volunteered occasionally in my mother's Preschool classroom occasionally. I assisted in small groups, gathered materials, engaged during center time and sanitized materials.

As a drum major, my responsibilities included conducting the band at football/basketball games, pep rallies and in the homecoming parades. As well as leading band cheers, organizing attendance for the band, enforcing rules and keeping band members well behaved.

During my Junior and Senior years of high school, I was a member of the LINK program. Similar to WEB, the Link program was made to introduce freshmen to their high school, as well as getting students to join activities, interact with other students, and become involved with the school. Link leaders mainly hosted orientation at the beginning of the year, but there were also events with student groups hosted by the Link leaders throughout the school year,

I was a part of the Holmes WEB Program, which is designed to help introduce incoming 6th graders to their new school environment. The WEB program would set up events through the years, where the WEB leaders would play games and check in with their 6th grade groups, to assist them in making friends and coming out of their shells.
