Youth Ambassador Leader/Research Assistant

  • Serve on the Youth Leadership Board for an educational technology platform focused on children's socio-emotional development, school readiness, and healthy media habits. Conduct research by reviewing and synthesising academic literature, testing new platform features, gathering user feedback, and contributing recommendations to product development. Collaborate with researchers and education professionals to help ensure the platform effectively meets the needs of young learners.

Founder & President

UCS Psychology Society
  • Founded and lead the school's Psychology Society, creating weekly sessions that introduce students across multiple year groups to advanced psychological concepts. Research, design, and deliver presentations on topics including false memories, hypnosis, obedience, and situational influences on behaviour. Facilitate discussions, organise interactive demonstrations and mini-experiments, and encourage participation from students with varying levels of psychological knowledge.

Research Team Leader

Independent Psychology Research (UCS)
  • Led a four-person research team investigating the effects of music with lyrics versus instrumental music on short-term memory. Conducted literature reviews, analysed previous academic studies, developed research procedures, addressed ethical considerations, and authored participant consent and debrief materials. Coordinated data collection involving 30 participants aged 16–18 and contributed to the final analysis and presentation of findings.

The UCS Chronicle
  • Founded and le the school's history magazine, publishing student-written academic articles across multiple year groups. Planned publication themes, edited submissions, designed magazine layouts, and mentored younger students through the research and writing process. Successfully launched the first edition featuring articles from students across all grades, creating a platform for historical scholarship and intellectual discussion within the school.Edit submissions, design layouts, and mentor younger contributors throughout the writing process.

Sales Team Leader

Young Enterprise Programme
  • Led the sales team within the Young Enterprise Programme, gaining practical experience in entrepreneurship, consumer behaviour, and marketing strategy. Helped develop sales initiatives and explored how businesses use behavioural insights to influence purchasing decisions. Developed a strong interest in the intersection of psychology, economics, and business growth.

Literacy Tutor/Volunteer

Argyle Primary School (London, U.K.)
  • Completed a 16-week literacy placement working one-to-one with four pupils aged five to six. Selected reading materials, guided discussions, and adapted teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs. Helped students develop confidence in reading aloud and strengthen their comprehension skills. Developed a deeper understanding for the role literacy plays in educational opportunity and social mobility.

Royal Holloway Psychology Research Competition
  • Collaborating with a team to develop and present an academic research poster addressing the question: "How can psychology create stronger and healthier communities?" Responsible for researching psychological literature, developing evidence-based recommendations, and preparing to present findings to a panel of academic judges.

  • Manage the society's social media presence by creating psychology-focused content, highlighting academic research, and collecting audience feedback through polls and surveys to improve engagement and programming.

Guest Speaker

UCS History Podcast
  • Invited to appear on the UCS History Podcast to discuss the causes, events, and consequences of the Maoist Revolution in China. Researched the topic independently and collaborated with podcast hosts to deliver an accessible and engaging discussion for a wider student audience. The podcast was shared across the school community, providing an opportunity to promote historical inquiry and discussion beyond the classroom.
