Donor Center Technician

- Duties: Answering phones, scheduling appointments, registering donors, donor screening (blood pressure, pulse, hematocrit, protein tests, temperature, and weight), and other reception/administration duties.
- Phlebotomist Duties: performing venipunctures, setting up machines/spiking fluids, disconnecting donors, donor care, knowledge of basic comfort, and health care. Handing donor reactions and adverse events.
- Lab Processor Duties: Processing bottles, taking samples, handling test results, and performing freezer duties.
- Lead Phlebotomists Duties: Running breaks, Leading the floor, Managing Donor flow, providing care to donors/socializing with donors, handling donor reactions, training new employees in all areas, helping with documentation, and overall helping the production of plasma while increasing my leadership skills.
- Alternate Center Leadership (ACL) Duties: Being a keyholder (opening and closing the center), completing FIFOS, switching lots in and out of service, handling paperwork's from our center and third parties, assisting with contract worker's, counseling donors, handing reactive units, paying donors, settling conflicts with donor or employees, problem solving and troubleshooting issues that occur, counting Inventory, and using programs such as, Track wise, Salesforce, and Power BI. I am also efficient in Excel, Word, and Teams. Also, being an ACL, you need to understand what goals/metrics need to be met or improved.
- Quality Assistance Backup (QA Backup) Duties: Daily Reviews, Efficient in SOPs, performing observations, and other Quality roles. Also, making sure staff are performing their duties in compliance with the Standing Operating Procedures, FDA, COLA, and other manufacturing guidelines. Checking for mistakes, correcting errors, and finding solutions to prevent errors.
- Marketing: I have been to multiple marketing events and have helped with organizing these events, including Bismarck State College, University of Mary, United Tribes, River Day Walk, going around town hanging up flyers, and Gumball Contest for Donors. I also contribute to Facebook marketing and have multiple times throughout my employment.
