
Emma Stockman has been a lawyer at DLA Piper since 2020, advising and representing clients in both contentious and non-contentious matters, with a particular focus on copyright, media and entertainment, intellectual property (trademarks and patents) and technology law.
Emma has extensive experience advising media, entertainment, technology and other content-driven businesses. Her practice encompasses both litigation and dispute-related work and strategic advisory matters, including the prevention and resolution of IP and commercial disputes and the drafting and negotiation of copyright, licensing, production, distribution, sponsorship, advertising and product placement, and other content-related agreements.
She also regularly advises streaming services and online platforms on the Belgian and EU regulatory frameworks applicable to their activities, including the EU AVMS Directive, the EU Digital Services Act, the EU AI Act and other EU digital regulation. Alongside her media and copyright practice, Emma advises on broader technology, consumer protection and commercial matters.
