In my role as a telemetry monitoring technician, I was in charge of continuously monitoring patients' cardiac monitors across several floors and environments, interpreting and recording rhythm strips on a regular basis in the monitoring system, and promptly alerting registered nurses and clinicians to any changes in cardiac rhythms. The monitoring technician completes monitor discharge and maintenance in addition to setting up the telemetry monitors for the clinical units upon admission. As specified by department practice, coordinates and maintains specialized advanced technical skills, keeping an eye on patients' ECG rhythms, analyzing results, and successfully communicating with the healthcare team.
