- Working at the Kennedy Space Center, I was a member of the Health Physics group. We were responsible for evaluating various radioisotopes, x-ray-producing machines, lasers, RF transmitters, and other potentially hazardous materials.
- My particular duties included training all personnel in the safe use of ionizing sources and devices; writing safety procedures and Use Authorizations identifying the personnel authorized to operate this equipment and the correct operating procedures required.
- Mars Missions were also a big part of the Health Physics department. During my tenure, I was a member of the Mars Science Laboratory Rover, the MER twin Mars rovers, the Pluto New Horizons lander, and the Mars 2020 Rover launches.
