After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, I dedicated myself over the next two decades to an academic career in Pediatrics at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, conducting research, serving in clinical leadership roles, and providing interdisciplinary care to children and youth with neurodevelopmental disabilities at Kennedy Krieger Institute. In 2017, I left to be Chief Medical Officer at a small, Medicaid managed care plan for children and young adults with Supplemental Security Income (SSI). This journey highlights my commitment to clinical excellence, interdisciplinary healthcare, and improving the lives of children and youth with special healthcare needs.
