- Project Lead: tasked with accurately determining throughput and material pickup of batch processes and creating a program to calculate these values for parts of different sizes and materials: - Determined throughput through a combination of physical testing, mathematical models, and procedure review - Discovered the cause behind 10% discrepancy between calculated profit margins and actual profit margins - Created a calculator that corrects this discrepancy by accurately calculating production rates and material pickup of products based on their dimensions - Updated pricing and internal production methods for standard products based on the calculator I created - Proposed and wrote procedures for a new method of how parts are entered into Epicor - Implemented new method by creating and running files with Data Management Tool (DMT) - Discovered inefficiencies in specific processes and proposed engineering solutions and mechanical designs to improve those processes - Performed numerous quality control and lab tests and experiments, and assisted engineering team in daily facility checklists and maintenance - Gained experience with Epicor Kinetic ERP including: creating Business Analysis Queries (BAQ), running the DMT, assisting in MRP implementation, quote entry, job entry, inventory management, and troubleshooting by corresponding with Epicare support
