* Case development responsibilities included conferences with liability experts in the fields of engineering, accident reconstruction, design, safety and premises security as well as with neurologists, neuro-radiologists, neuro-psychologists, orthopedic surgeons and primary care physicians on the damages side.

Drafting analytical reports to clients and carriers providing candid assessments of witness performance, likely impact at trial, pure value and comparative exposure and strategic approaches at mediation and/or arbitration. Preparation for and attendance at mediations and arbitrations successfully resolving the vast majority of cases assigned.

*Supervision of associates and oversight of complex liability, causation and damages matters within cases handled by such lawyers. Review of reports by associates to clients and editing of case value and projected outcomes where appropriate.
* Joined the firm of Womack and Bass, P.A. directly from the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office upon Janet Reno being sworn in as U.S. Attorney General for the Clinton Administration.
* Over the course of roughly fifteen years we litigated, mediated and took to trial, almost exclusively, medical malpractice and nursing home negligence cases. Daily responsibilities included meeting with medical experts (often out of state), reviewing medical records, developing strategies and taking the depositions of opposing experts. Writing tasks often involved the drafting of reports to keep clients apprised of case status and likely trajectory of complex matters through mediation and verdict. Litigation duties included the preparation for and attendance at dispositive hearings, mediations and client depositions.
* Ability to work with forensic experts and to understand, at a granular level, the unique subtleties upon which the outcomes in complex cases often depend I have worked hand and glove with accident reconstructionists, engineers, physicians, security professionals and other experts in their discrete fields for thirty years My familiarity with those subject areas and how to present them for greatest effect has resulted in consistently successful outcomes for our clients
* Successful outcomes at mediation and arbitration are, almost uniformly, the result of the diligent and intelligent work that has gone into a case long before the mediation takes place My ability to return a secure and positive result for the client at such milestones has been my strength over the years
* I also have the ability to partner with other seasoned trial counsel to put both simple and complex cases to a jury where needed and have handled all aspects of civil trial from jury selection to closing argument
