While my responsibilities with Independence are vast these are just a few of my responsibilities.
I owned a small photography business, which I closed because I didn't have enough time with the responsibilities of the career I chose. I used to primarily focus on wildlife photography to sell for publishing, though I decided to create a brand and focus on people. I specialize in Family, Senior and Wedding Photography.
I will discuss my approach to running the business in more detail in an interview, but I will say the biggest part of this job is being able to sell not your work but yourself. With an over saturated market in which everyone is a photographer the only way to actually make a profit is to be able to sell yourself in that you're the best person for the job, and then maximize the sale by getting a print order after the shoot.
I started my employment with the company as a Dispatcher and after 5 months of employment I was offered the Safety Director/Driver Manager position which I accepted. In my role with Dedicated I did everything from managing the drivers, reviewing P&L by driver when giving raises and reviews, to building a safety program, setting yearly and quarterly safety goals and coaching/disciplining drivers to make sure we're in compliance with FMCSA Regulations. In addition before I left I was also meeting with customers to try and build upon existing lanes while also meeting with possible new customers to build business. I also was reviewing current lanes to try and maximize profit within those lanes.
I operated a CNC Mill, the only reason I left was because they didn't want to offer more money and I had found a job elsewhere that offered more money.

I was a fill in route sales rep in my short time with the company. While I enjoyed the work and being able to sell and meet customer needs, put together a sales plans and build relationships, I ultimately chose to leave because during the interview I was promised certain things that after I was hired did not end up coming true. I would be more than happy to discuss this in and interview more in detail.
