Special Note

I recently experienced a health challenge which has allowed me a unique perspective as to what a patient experiences and the difficulties they face with 'healthcare' today. I was my own advocate for various 'alternative' therapies and was basically refused medical care because I chose to go the natural route. I am now better, doing very well, desiring to work independently on a remote/telecommute basis; but, am also open for on-premises work as well. All contrary to what my physicians had predicted/advised. As such, I have a strong stance on patient advocacy and natural medicine/therapy. I feel I can bring a comprehensive patient care perspective to any organization that is in pursuit of improving the overall care the patient needs and receives. During my conventional therapy, there was a failed wound vac trial, and I am now an amputee of the left foot, aka Chopart partial foot amputation. This then had to undergo the modified Boyd-Symes procedure to accommodate better prosthetic outcomes. I am currently very active in the community with two non-profit organizations, Center for Independent Living (CIL) and Miracle Limbs. At the former, we help all disabilities and low-income individuals. At the later, we strive to help amputees make the transition back to living strong active lives again. I am a person with a disability. I am NOT disabled.
