Licensed Nursing Asssitant working in a surgical hospital as a Pre- Op/ PACU tech. I escort patients back to the pre operative area to initiate the process of getting them ready for surgery. I retrieve vital signs, prep the surgical site, apply anticoagulant devices to their legs and report any abnormal findings to the nurse. I work with a team of nurses and physicians in a fast paced environment to ensure the patient is ready for surgery. Turnover and stock rooms for following patients. Assist with preoperative and postoperative patient care. Monitor patients' vital signs. Provide emotional support to patients and their families. Help PAT department schedule preoperative testing for patiets.
