  • Extensive coordination with multiple outside local, state and federal law enforcement, regulatory, airport and emergency management agencies
  • Oversaw the deployment og the NTSB's evidence management digital system, Mark43
  • Oversaw the hiring of the agency's first full time Continuity of Operations Manager (COOP)
  • Oversee the administrative management of the NTSB's Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) program
  • Manage the NTSB's Official Passport Program
  • Worked with multiple internal offices to overhaul the jumpseat program, including joining the Cockpit Access Security Program (CASS) and obtaining TSA approval to join the CASS program
  • Review electronic, telephonic, and written communications from the general public that may have threat implications toward staff or the leadership of the NTSB
  • Develop action plans to counter potential threats and if needed coordinate with law enforcement to mitigate or stop the threat

  • Developed and implemented MOU with the Federal Air Marshal Service to support the transport of critical evidence from NTSB accident investigation sites to the NTSB Lab in Washington DC

  • Responsible for reworking the procedures for securing Federal Aviation Administration aircraft during and emergency to transport the 'Go Team' to the accident site anywhere in the United States

  • Currently serving as the designated NTSB/FBI liaison
  • Responsible for the weekly and monthly conference calls with the FBI Evidence Response Team (ERT) liaison Agent and with Senior ERT leadership in Quantico and Fredericksburg to ensure an ongoing and proactive NTSB/FBI relationship
  • Worked to integrate the FBI Technical Hazardous Response Unit (THRU) into the NTSB on scene portion of the investigation to support NTSB staff with site safety issue
  • When FBI assets are deployed, I respond to serve as the on-scene NTSB/FBI liaison
  • At the request of the FBI and starting on the night of September 11, 2001, served as the NTSB/FBI command post liaison (New York City) for 3 weeks following the 9/11 attacks
  • At the request of the FBI, I have presented classes to senior law enforcement officers from around the world who are attending the FBI National Academy in Quantico
  • At the request of the FBI ERT leadership an FBI representative and I have presented to members of the White House National Security advisory team on post terror responses plans and interagency cooperation between the NTSB and the FBI
  • At the request of the FBI’s International Training Division, participated with FBI agents on a 10-day training program to command staff level members United Arab Emirates law enforcement community in Dubai UAE
  • Ongoing work with the FBI Civil Aviation Security Program (CASP) leadership and all the (ALA’s)
  • Worked with the NTSB General Counsel’s office and the TSA to develop a new MOU between the NTSB and TSA’s Federal Air Marshals Program (FAMS)
  • Travel with Go-Team and attend all meetings, as set forth by the IIC
  • Establish presence at local command post and develop relationship with local/state emergency management agencies, FBI, local/state police
