I am a first-generation college student who prioritizes school while juggling two jobs. As a first generation student, I strive to make my family proud and set an example of the importance of education for my younger siblings. I believe God allowed me to live experiences that led me to find my purpose. Being in and out of hospitals with my grandmother led me to find this purpose. She was always very ill and getting to experience seeing nurses contribute to her recovery with love for their job and compassion for their patients made me want to also be that nurse who is there for their patients with a full heart. I know my purpose is to help others when they are most vulnerable and need help in their recovery by having a compassionate and empathetic heart I strive to one day be able to help others in this way.
