Casper Assessment Integration: Fostering Diversity in Tennessee State University's Doctorate of Physical Therapy Program Admissions

  • Performed research with my peers to study the utilization of the Casper assessment by Tennessee State University (TSU) as a tool for evaluating applicants' social intelligence and professionalism to its Doctorate of Physical Therapy program is associated with an enhancement in the ethnic diversity of the admitted student population.

The Effectiveness of Physical Therapy in Post-Cesarean Recovery: Addressing Functional Limitations and Low Back Pain

May 2024 - December 2025

  • Conducted systematic review of over 40 studies evaluating early postpartum physical therapy interventions following Cesarean section. Identified early physical therapy as a key factor in improving postpartum recovery, independence, and quality of life versus standard care. Highlighted the need for standardized postpartum PT referral protocols to reduce chronic musculoskeletal complications and improve long-term maternal outcomes.
