  • AirTran Airways was acquired by Southwest Airlines September 2010, I was merged into the Southwest workforce in March 2014
  • Lead Flight Attendant 2008-2014-This was additional training taken to be qualified to always work the forward part of the cabin and serve business class customers
  • Jumpseat Committee Chair AFA Council 57 2013-2014-As chair of the jumpseat committee for AirTran's union, it was my job to reach out to other jumpseat chairs at other airlines to secure reciprocal agreements for free non-revenue travel. Was able to secure an agreement between AirTran and Endeavor Air, which greatly benefited flight attendants that were commuters to Atlanta base.

Leadership Community Service

  • Transport Workers Union Local 556, Shop Steward, 2018-present: TWU Local 556 is the union representation for Southwest Airlines flight attendants. Shop Stewards provided representation for flight attendants during fact finding/disciplinary meetings, and do contract education/mobilization in our crew lounges and social media. During contract negotiations from 2018-2024, I participated in demonstrations for a fair contract by walking the line at 4 informational picketing events with fellow union members and leadership from TWU 556, and also 1 informational picket for the Association of Professional Flight Attendants, the union representation for American Airlines flight attendants.
  • Philo Affiliates of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., February 2024-present, The Philos are adult women who do not currently hold a 4-year degree. We serve as an auxiliary to Sigma Gamma Rho and assist the sorority with their national community service initiatives as well as participate in local community service projects created by Philos. I will be in service with the Philos until I receive a bachelor’s degree, which would then make me eligible for transition into the main body of the sorority.
  • Philo Affiliates of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., Hospitality/Sisterhood Chair, April 2024-present, As the new chair of this committee, most of my duties revolve around organizing events where we can come together and fellowship, or provide the hosting responsibilities for fundraising events (being in charge of purchasing catering, entertainment, décor, etc.)
