Research
2 Years 2 Months- Designed a survey to gather knowledge on the importance of support groups amongst GCC cancer patients. Conducted in person interviews with patients and will write a paper on the findings.
Program Support Manager
2 Years 7 Months- Trained and proficient in following cGMPs, GMPs and SOPs across multiple different customer sites.
- Conduct chemical safety, sanitation, titration, and PPE trainings for customers.
- Trained in safe chemical handling.
- Verified food processing plant cleanliness through hundreds of CIP verifications, audit observations, and identifying pathogen harborage areas.
- Provide support for microbial issues through corrective action plans and preventative measures.
- Manage and provide support in managing several customers. Provide regular service, which consists of verifying sanitation procedures (CIP, COP and manual), taking inventory, ordering, and providing support for customer projects.
- Adaptable to different schedules. Travel 80% of the time. Also switch between night and day shifts.
Student Researcher, RyfA mutagenesis
5 Months- Under the direction of Dr. Erin R. Murphy, a fellow undergraduate and I conducted research on RyfA mutagenesis. Responsibilities included performing epPCR, growth curve analyses, starting and plating colonies, running gels, as well as various other lab duties. The results of the research were presented at the Student Expo on April 11, 2024, where our research received a first-place prize by the Infectious and Tropical Disease Institute (ITDI). The research was then presented again at the Ohio University Summer Research Symposium.
Lab Technician/Analyst
2 Years 3 Months- Responsibilities included plating milk and cheese samples as well as analyzing colony counts for coliforms, E. coli, yeast and mold. Additional roles were performed, such as conducting moisture tests on whey powder, storing samples, analyzing employee surveys, and rating cheese for quality control/inspection.
