• Collaborate and direct members of APP leadership team including ED APP Leads of education, on-boarding, student education, pediatrics, and ED observation to ensure APPs are performing and working at the top of their license.
• Conduct Annual and on-going performance reviews of ED APP staff and participate in resident and attending physician review.
• Screen, interview and hire new APP team members including monitoring credentialing status, initiating training/onboarding, providing continuing education.

• Create and oversee ED schedule for over 90 full time, part time and per diem APPs.
• Manage sick calls, including filling staffing vacancies, rearranging assignments and monitoring earned time usage.
• Manage and oversee payroll.
• Review budget and staffing needs with leadership, requesting additional FTEs and providing staffing reports upon request.
• Maintain collaborative relationship with EM residency, ensuring adequate coverage across the department while ensuring sufficient learning opportunities for all.

• Redesign APP staffing to accommodate changing needs of the department.
• PA representative for the hospital wide Sepsis Redesign Project to create standards of care throughout the ED and hospital wide to improve patient outcomes and decrease length of hospital stay.
