I worked as part of a team of 10 field scientists and leading projects performing stack emissions testing, fence, line monitoring and LDAR programs. I had the responsibility, with my team, to serve clients requiring complex testing which involves simultaneous PM (EPA 5, 17, 202), SO2, CO, NOx, PCDD & PCDF’s (EPA 23A), Heavy Metals incl Hg (EPA 29), Hydrogen Halides & halogens (EPA 26A), Formaldehyde (EPA316) etc. Technical report writing formed part of my duties when not in the field.

Become a project lead after 6 Months in the industry because of my can-do attitude
Improved our service offering to clients by conducting feedback presentations after reports submission.

As part of a tight-knit team of 5 Engineering Graduates, we were responsible for all aspects of 18650 Li-Ion cells manufacturing from the acquisition of raw materials, slurry preparation, machine operation, product performance tests, resolving process related issues to a final product that was competing with some of the bests li-ion cells on the market. This was a government-private funded research and development project towards South Africa’s first Li-Ion battery commercial plant.

Ensured the smooth running of the production line through effective troubleshooting, can-do attitude and promoting teamwork regardless of positions.

Ordering and preparing raw materials according Standard Operating Procedures

Maintaining effective communication with previous and next shifts and other persons involved in the running oof the production lines

Maintaining good housekeeping and ensuring the quality level of the products by regularly checking against the product specifications.

Completing all required documentation and data files during production.
