  • Trip Planning & Routing: Review delivery schedules and customer requirements. Plan routes based on efficiency, traffic, road conditions, and fuel stops. Ensure compliance with Hours of Service (HOS) rules.
  • Loading & Unloading Cargo: Arrive at pickup locations on time. Supervise or assist with loading and securing cargo. Ensure freight is correctly documented and not damaged. Unload cargo at delivery points (or oversee unloading).
  • Managing Paperwork & Compliance: Maintain logs and records (HOS, inspection reports, delivery receipts). Complete bills of lading, invoices, fuel receipts, and shipping documents.   • Loading Fuel: Drive to a fuel terminal or refinery. Verify fuel type and quantity to be loaded. Follow safety protocols to load fuel into compartments (often different fuels are loaded into separate compartments). Complete required paperwork (loading slips, bills of lading).

  • Delivering Fuel: Confirm delivery location and fuel type. Connect hoses to underground tanks at gas stations or other facilities. Safely offload fuel while monitoring for spills or leaks. Record delivery amounts and tank levels. Collect signatures or use digital confirmation systems.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Complete delivery logs, inspection forms, and fuel receipts. Note any incidents, delays, or issues with equipment. Report mechanical issues or safety hazards to maintenance or dispatch.

  • Offload and stage equipment in correct positions. Assemble rig structure in sequence: substructure, mast, draw works, etc. Reconnect tanks, piping, fuel lines, electric cables, and control systems. Perform function tests on critical systems. Coordinate with electricians, mechanics, and other crews.
