Esther Burke

A recent high school graduate, with one year and a few months prior work experience as a caregiver and a Teacher Aide/Administrative assistant but also acquired the listed abilities by volunteering at a few organizations; Leadership qualities, capacity to work unsupervised,multitask,motivate and mobilize. Some of the skills I have acquired while in school include; excellent communication skills both written and oral, computer literacy and bookkeeping. As an aspiring nurse, I view all jobs that allow me to interact with others as an important asset, as this will later benefit me in my career.

• Pathfinders Club Organization, Helped plan and organize camping trips and fundraisers for club events, cleaning and maintaining homes for the elderly, cleaning streets and community centers, distributed food hampers and cleaning supplies to needy families and painted road signs. Helped organize a blood drive, blood pressure testing and HIV testing.
• Red Cross Organization, Volunteered as a disaster relief member during the 2005 flooding in Guyana, South America. Helped distribute food supplies.
