As a cardiovascular tech at UMH we have a variety of responsibilities. My main responsibilities are to scan holters, and perform metabolics for heart failure/heart transplant, for stem cell research, for pulmonary medicine, for the Miami athlete protocol post Covid, and Indirect calorimetry.
I also do EKGs for outpatients/inpatients and regular stress test/stress echo as needed and nuclear stress.
I perform clerical work as well as part of my department duties like answering phone calls, booking appointments, and coordinating procedures.
I also assist the doctors I work with in coordinating their schedules.
The University of Miami hospital is a great learning place and allows for diverse types of research.

Additional Experience
Part of the stem cell research that started in 2010, connecting holters to stem cell candidates and scanning them., Metabolic stress test, baseline, 6 months, and 12 months period to the stem cell candidates.
Provided hospital wide training when the new Muse system was installed, and with Epic.
Participated in The Miami athlete protocol Post Covid for the athletes at the University of Miami and the Florida MARLINS subdivision in June 2020.
Participated in volunteer work for a major construction project related to a religious order thorough the years 2014-2017 in Food Service and was trained in dining etiquette and waiting tables, in assisting the veggie room, in cleaning in the machine room, and sometimes assisted main course. Received full bakery training as an assistant baker. It was hard work, fun and a very enriching experience.
Career goals changes: I started considering real estate and got my license.
Also interested in a part-time job to complement and fit my schedule, preferably from home.
