The award distinguishes school-aged children who strive to make good choices, do well in school, give back to their community, or demonstrate a “turn-around” or improvement in their behavior, and to publicly highlights these students and their stories in the media to show that good kid are newsworthy.

The 2023 NCDOT Research & Innovation Summit

Being selected for this summit allowed me to present my study to evaluate the use of drones to support mass evacuation during disaster management. Mass evacuation during an emergency presents several obstacles, ranging from precise preparation to effective implementation. This research was focused on operational and tactical drone applications in disaster management, with a time-scaled separation of application between pre-disaster activity and activity during a catastrophe's occurrence.

DWIGHT DAVID EISENHOWER TRANSPORTATION FELLOWSHIP

The TRB Annual Meeting included lectures and seminars on issues of relevance to all attendees, including policymakers, administrators, practitioners, researchers, and representatives from government, business, and academic institutions.
