Mass evacuation during an emergency presents several obstacles, ranging from precise preparation to effective implementation. This research was focused on operational and tactical drone applications in disaster management, with a time-scaled separation of application between pre-disaster activity and activity during a catastrophe's occurrence.
DWIGHT DAVID EISENHOWER TRANSPORTATION FELLOWSHIP
The TRB Annual Meeting included lectures and seminars on issues of relevance to all attendees, including policymakers, administrators, practitioners, researchers, and representatives from government, business, and academic institutions. I presented findings from my research on using drones to help in mass evacuations during crisis management. Mass evacuation involves various challenges during an emergency, ranging from exact planning to successful implementation.
