This award was given to me during my time at Trail Life USA, a troop organization dedicated to raising young men into leaders with a foundation in Christianity. The tasks required to complete this award are similar to that of the Eagle Scout award from Boy Scouts USA, just with a few extra steps. A trailmen is required to have completed the majority of the badges available, do a service project for their community, complete a group bible study, teach a class for the younger trailmen, and do several hours of community service. At the time when I was still a member, everyone who had previously acquired this award had been transfers from the Boy Scouts and had already earned the Eagle Scout award. Because of this, no one had actually gone through and completed the award from scratch until it was my turn to make a move. In the end, I was the first person in my troop to accomplish this goal.
