As a biomedical engineering student at NC State University and UNC-Chapel Hill, I am deeply passionate about all areas of STEM, especially medicine and engineering. My hands-on role in the operating room at HonorBridge, an Organ Procurement Organization (OPO), has given me invaluable experience in tissue donation, reinforcing my commitment to advancing healthcare technology. Inspired by this work, my senior capstone project is focused on developing innovative medical instruments to support organ donation technologies, specifically Normothermic Regional Perfusion (NRP). I’m also working toward publishing my first paper, which explores the ethics of organ donation.
Beyond the classroom, lab, and operating room, I am driven by a commitment to service and lifelong learning. As an Eagle Scout, I developed a strong sense of responsibility, a love for my country, and a dedication to helping others—values that have shaped my career path and led me to complete EMT training at Johnston County Community College and SOLO Wilderness First Aid certification. These skills provide a unique perspective on patient care and readiness, which I bring to all my endeavors.
To me, the completion of my bachelor's represents the start of a lifelong journey. I am committed to continuously expanding my knowledge and skills across STEM fields, whether in healthcare, engineering, or any area where science and technology can make a meaningful impact.
