-LeadCrew Member on an Type 2 Initial Attack crew as a Lead firefighter. My duties were to lead by example and help my fellow crew members do the job we were assigned to do. Also do our job in a professional and safe manner.
Helped put on some trainings like L-280, S-212 and also participated with our yearly refreshers.
-Lead Sawyer on the Crew. Fallen hazardous trees, cut and cleared brush. Also teach and show how to maintenance a saw on the line and during rehab.
-Helped train another Arizona State Crew as a FFT1. Filled in as a Squad Leader. Trained and showed the crew tactics on how to secure line, mop up, read weather, cut and maintenances saws.
-Patrolled fires during containment and controlled status, to locate and extinguish hot spots that could flare or rekindle (mop-up).
-Spend time on a Type3 and Type6 Engine. Established single hose lays, progressive hose lays, and utilized water for suppression of fire either indirect or direct.
-Maintained documentation pertinent to administrative duties, such as crew time reports and fire reports.
Establish and communicate crew cohesion and performance expectations.
Use situational awareness to make informed decisions, take appropriate actions and determine appropriate fireline tactics.

-Participated in Fuels projects which included prescribed burns. Responsible for the ignition of fuels and the monitoring of fire behavior/weather.
-Utilized hand tools to create a fire barrier before ignition of fuels, during active fire behavior, and to mop up.
-Worked with chainsaws to cut down hazardous fuels and maintained chainsaws pertinent to hazardous fuels mitigation.
-Attended training programs to deepen professional skillset and assisted in training. Removing hazardous fuels (Salt Cedar and Tamarisk). Then chemically treating the area with Garlon.
