Dedicated Pre-Health student raising GPA from a 0.6 GPA to a 3.335 in rigorous science courses over multiple summers including - Chemistry 2 with lab, Physics 1 with lab, and Neuroscience - all in person at TCU to stay on plan. Determination to stay committed to Pre-Health after ADHD diagnosis, readjusting how to study. While clinical and volunteering hours took a hit during these times due to full dedication towards raising GPA, now integrating myself more in the community with new found confidence and passion for service showing empathy, compassion, and strong interest in medical field.
Recently became member, planning to assist in clinical setting alongside Medical Students and other Pre-Health undergraduates.
Keep facility clean after patients leave, hand out food or water for patients, provide companionship and engage with patients, assist providers to ensure facility runs smoothly
25 hours currently of shadowing Dr. Faust including dialysis rounds, ICU rotations, and clinical hours. Exposed to world of medicine and how health care providers work together for high quality treatment of patients while displaying understanding of empathy and patient care. Reviewed clinical labs and exposed to medical terminology that I would then build and gain a better understanding though courses taken in undergraduate studies.
Hand out meals to those in need and make sure those receiving meals are in proper conditions as well as spend time with those in community.
