Creative and resourceful intern with experience in marine research. Demonstrated strong problem-solving abilities and outstanding communication skills while collaborating on NOAA projects, including the successful removal and archiving of otoliths. Ready to leverage these strengths to support innovative marine conservation initiatives.
As an Intern for the University of Miami I worked at NOAA where I was helping to archive and removed otolith from fish to be sent for aging.
My 3 years of employment, I was able to help get over 1000 otolith removed and over 1000 archived.
In my final year of working at NOAA, I volunteered on the Oregon II to go into the Atlantic to catch sharks from long line fishing, where we caught over 50 sharks ranging from baby black tips, too 12 foot hammerheads.
My experience with working with people that have tons of experience as well as a lot of knowledge in such an area of expertise molded me into someone able to learn quickly and adapt to my environment.
