As a Security Officer with Allied Universal, I work in collaboration with the South Carolina Department of Corrections to ensure the safety and security of both incarcerated individuals and medical personnel within a secure medical unit. My duties include monitoring inmate activity and overseeing all foot traffic entering and exiting the assigned unit. My training for this position has included firearms instruction with a .38 caliber revolver, defensive tactics, and modified exposure to oleoresin capsicum (OC) spray.

• I was employed in the freezer department, where I regularly worked in temperatures at or below 0°F. My primary responsibility involved operating a triple pallet jack to complete assigned tasks, which required retrieving food items from designated warehouse slots. Once the orders were fulfilled, they were transported to the wrapping station for packaging and subsequently loaded onto delivery trucks. This role required a strong familiarity with the products in order to enhance both speed and accuracy in order selection. The position also contributed to the development of my spatial awareness, as I frequently navigated narrow aisles shared with multiple operators of heavy machinery. Additionally, proper pallet stacking was a critical skill, as the stability of the load directly impacted both safety and efficiency. Order sizes varied significantly, ranging from a single item to over 200, making it essential to stack items in a way that prevented tipping and maintained workflow.

• I serve as both a cashier and floor associate, with responsibilities that include maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the sales floor, public restrooms, and employee break room. In my role at the register, I assist customers by processing transactions and responding to inquiries about products and store policies. This position demands strong time management, multitasking abilities, and in-depth knowledge of store inventory and layout. Regular interaction with a diverse customer base has enhanced my adaptability and communication skills, allowing me to respond to various situations with professionalism and composure. I consistently strive to treat all individuals with respect and courtesy.

I worked with adolescent girls between the ages of fifteen to eighteen who had experienced various forms of trauma. In this role, I contributed to creating a safe, structured, and compassionate environment that allowed them to process their experiences, rebuild trust, and develop essential life skills.

• As a Security Officer at MUSC Hospital in Lancaster, I was responsible for maintaining a secure environment by patrolling the interior and exterior of hospital buildings, diligently monitoring for any suspicious activities. My role included observing psychiatric patients to prevent self-harm or harm to others, showcasing my ability to handle sensitive situations with care and vigilance. Additionally, I provided assistance to patients and visitors, addressing their questions and concerns with effective communication and customer service skills. After a year of dedicated service, I was entrusted with shift management responsibilities and served as an assistant supervisor, highlighting my leadership capabilities and reliability.
