Dedicated, Friendly, Inspirational and Passionate Group Exercise Instructor with a long career teaching exercise classes in different formats at several health clubs and studios in Southern California.
I was lucky to start teaching at the beginning of the "aerobics fitness craze'' the craze that never went away. Group Exercise has been my career and passion. I have a strong track record of helping clients achieve goals while enjoying classes and making positive life choices. Having recently relocated to Las Vegas, continuing in fitness is a high priority.
Teaching exercise is what I do. I share movement and music via the fitness triangle: strength, cardio and flexibility with the members that take classes.
My Mom put me in dance at a young age, little did she know dance would turn into a life long love affair. I have studied Tap with a vaudevillian performer, studied Ballet at the Penthouse Studio at Carnegie Hall and at the Dance Theatre of Harlem School. My college degree is in Fine Arts Theatre/Dance & Mass Communications. I took a break from dance when I moved from New York to Los Angeles for graduate school, however it was replaced with teaching Group Exercise classes. My love of movement and music was a huge plus when I began teaching exercise classes in Los Angeles. After getting married, and having a child, I went back to classical ballet. In 2021 I performed in an adult showcase, (none of us were professionals) it was a thrill.
There was a time when I was teaching exercise and taking ballet classes, to such an extent I wasn't sure if I was getting enough protein or calories in my diet for the physical exertion and my "on the go" lifestyle. I did some research and changed what I was eating and the quality of what I was consuming. It was then that I became a bit more strident in my diet and food choices. I began to cook everything from scratch using only whole foods. Not only have I become a good home cook, but I tweaked my lifestyle in the process, I've never looked back.
I've been able to combine my love of dance and exercise with clean eating. This enables me to continue to do what I love to do, teach exercise and take ballet classes.
