• Work with clients to envision their garden spaces, plan, design, plant selection and wholesale nursery purchases, installation of new plantings and irrigation.
• Create project cost estimates for labor and materials.
• Tend, prune, weed, and otherwise maintain gardens, landscapes, orchard and vegetable gardens.

• Fine gardening maintenance of extensive grounds that compose the Esalen retreat center grounds, working alone and with a crew to tend, maintain, weed, irrigate, install new plantings.
• Assisted Esalen Grounds Manager, Christina Dauenhauer, in selection and purchase of plants from nurseries for landscaping, assisted in planting and irrigation layouts, and placement of new plantings in garden beds and landscape.

• Worked in a team to cultivate, plant, harvest, irrigate and maintain 5+ acres of farm/garden/orchards for production of food and herbal infusions for Esalen kitchen use.
• Interfaced and communicated with visitors about plants and garden, led guided medicinal/edible herb walks within gardens, taught workshops in medicine making/edible wild plants to staff.
• Founded my handcrafted body care product line, Deva Botanicals.
• Organic and sustainable ag/farming practices included pest management, plant propagation, large scale composting, tractor work, irrigation.

Worked several years as a garden educator in school gardens, planting and maintaining school gardens, as well as teaching courses K-8 at Peralta Hacienda and neighboring Fruitvale middle school school, and with A Living Library school garden program in Chinatown, SF.
