Dynamic and dedicated professional with extensive experience in fast-paced environments, including Rene Lerma's concession stands. Proven skills in driving trailers and a positive attitude ensure efficient operations. A fast learner, I excelled in high-pressure situations, contributing to successful events like the Houston Rodeo while maintaining a strong focus on teamwork and safety. Also working at a factory for more than half a year I feel like I learned about a lot of different stuff and it just made me interested in wanting to work as an electrician. I would see them fix something and I thought to myself how I want to learn how to be able to work on something electrical.
This is a seasonal job. Meaning he has his seasons which is feb- may then 1 month off to start in July and end in November. Then off December and January. I started this very young around the age of 17. I left to my first fair in Monticello Iowa. His concession stands are 4 but he has a lot of the same ones. He has a street taco stand, a turkey leg stand,a street corn stand, and he’s partnered with the franchise dippin dots.we have big events some of the biggest in the whole United States like the Minnesota state fair, Houston rodeo,Arkansas state fair and many more. My duties were attach the rv and drive it to our new spot around every 2 weeks. We moved around usually around 2-3 weeks. We set up everything when we get there park all the box trucks and rvs, trailers. Then on the very last day we tear down everything in the night and leave the next morning sometimes we would finish around 3-4 Am and still have to drive the next day. This is my most recent job. I was there for about a month and a half I went around mid February and left march 24. flew out to Brownsville Texas which is where the warehouse is for the company and we drove to the Houston rodeo which last 21 full days. Opening and 8am and closing at 12-1am. We had 2 dipping dots stand and we were in charge of setting it all up putting all the screws correctly. And we worked for 21 days lots of people attending this event. I was mainly on cashier because of my fluent English and fast way that I could come up with the total price. This job has a lot of different stuff to it. I learned a lot from working here in total I would say I’ve done 3 1/2 seasons with him which is about 16-17 months of work for this company.
I worked in this factory for about 7 months. I was in re work for about 2 months when I got switched to 12 hour shifts onto a factory line. I was on the packaging side of the line. Me and one other person had to make sure the product ran the whole 12 hours. We had to make sure the 2 box makers worked, the X-ray was always on point. We had to unjam our casepacker if there was a jam. Make sure the conveyor was working. A lot of different stuff and hands on experience on this job because of all the different machines I got to work with.
I worked here from October until mid February. We were doing demolition on the buildings in fort Chaffee. We were taking off all the Sheetrock and nails and picking up all the trash. We were on tall ladders up to like 20ft ladders taking off the sheet rock from the roof. We did only demolition for about 1 1/2 months. Then they took me to start a fence job where they had to take down about 2 miles of trees to build a new fence. We were on a side by side cutting down trees with a chainsaw me and 1 other guy. We would cut a big one and chain it up and the supervisor would come and drag it out and stack it. I would say I did about half of this until they moved to start learning how to hang Sheetrock and plywood.
I came here because I thought it would be a good job for me but I ended up not liking being a cook anymore. But I was a cook here basically the same as sonic just different menus.
One of my first jobs I did about 5-6 months here. I was a cook at sonic not much to say about it I was the cook I would wash dishes every other day and if not be the cook on the grill or the fryers.
