Assisted Allegheny College Senior Hanah Simmons with her senior research involving fruit flies (Drosophila). Help with lab procedures as well as maintenance of fruit flies in order to produce accurate results.

Part of the Community Health Care Program at Meadville Medical Center. Assigned to a patient with a chronic illness, and it is my responsibility to see them once a week, provide care, and report back progress notes about my patient to the hospital.

• Respectfully communicated to customers to find out what they need in order to give them the best service.
• Performed cash, card and check transactions to complete customer purchases.
• Work hand-in-hand with the people cleaning clothes to make sure we all work in an efficient manner.

• Worked with children and adults of varying ages with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy providing 24/7 patient care in order to provide them with a normal camp experience.
• Communicated with parents about campers' activities and reported concerns and suggestions to supervisor.
• Supervised camper activities to address behavioral issues and promote fun, safety and inclusivity.

• Worked on research in the Orthopedics department specializing in spine and lower back.
• Created pellet cultures using various cells within the intervertebral disc in order to see how these cells would grow using various growth factors. These results were compared to those using monolayer cultures under the same conditions.
• Presented my research in front of the whole lab including many long-term researchers, surgeons, and fellow medical/undergraduate students.
