In the Summer of 2022, I had the invaluable opportunity of being a preceptor at Cornell University's Wildlife Center. During this preceptorship, I learned relevant information pertaining to wildlife rehabilitation. During this period, I learned important skills such as handling techniques, medication administration, and diagnostic radiographs for a variety of species. I was able to familiarize myself with wildlife protocols and procedures surrounding the conservation and environmental needs of the patients.

In the spring semester of 2025, I completed an externship at Upstate Veterinary Specialties located in Latham, NY. During this externship, I rotated through multiple specialties such as cardiology, neurology, and internal medicine. This provided me with a unique opportunity to apply and expand my clinical skills, gain hands-on experience in a specialty and emergency setting, and better understand the areas of veterinary medicine that truly inspire me.
