FARHEEN RIZWAN KALSEKAR

I have been working as an Associate Teacher with Seera International School, Mumbai. Serra is in a joint venture with EtonHouse, Singapore with a vision of providing a strong education base that would create creative thinkers, responsible global citizens and life-long learners. Its curriculum leverages “early learning goals” from the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), UK for the overall development of the child. It has been a very good experience working with this organization and helped in my overall development as a Teacher. The roles and responsibilities I fulfilled in this organization are as below:

• Planned and implemented integrated lessons to meet national standards.
• Prepare lessons, making them as interesting as possible.
• Prepare homework , assignments and assessments.
• Mark homework and pieces of assessment.
• Prepare resources for the classroom.
• Helped lead teacher set up and manage classroom and outdoor activities.
• Observed children to identify individuals in need of additional support and developed strategies to improve assistance.
• Supported student teachers by mentoring on classroom management, lesson planning and activity organization.
• Organize events and parties as per different seasons and festivals, and prepare children for different dance/singing/skit performances.
• Worked cooperatively with other teachers, administrators and parents to help students reach learning objectives.
• Completed daily reports, meal count sheets and attendance logs.
• Incorporated exciting and engaging activities to achieve student participation and hands-on learning.
• Kept students on-task with proactive behavior modification and positive reinforcement strategies.
• Encouraged creative thinking and motivated students by addressing individual strengths and weaknesses based on standardized testing results.
• Promoted physical, mental and social development using classroom games and activities.
