  • Designed and executed studies using electronic health records and survey data to identify social and behavioral risk factors as well as comorbidities (i.e., high blood pressure) that predict cortisol levels, allostatic load, and stress reactivity in a cohort of breast and prostate cancer survivors.
  • Designed a cross sectional study and built a database for data collection using Redcap for a grant funded project to examine racial differences in stress responses between African American and White male smokers
  • Provided actionable recommendations to principle investigator (PI), study coordinator and project manager for the establishment of a primary care cohort of African American men
  • Successfully led, completed and submitted a R21 pilot grant to test feasibility and acceptability of an innovative clinical trial intervention in African American men with multiple chronic conditions
  • Conducted a literature review of the effectiveness of opt-in vs. opt-out approaches to smoking cessation, and helped defined primary outcome measures as part of a multi-center grant collaboration for a cluster randomized trial.
