Summary
As a Hospice nurse I case managed palliative care patients ( end of life). My duties were to visit patients ,do a complete assessment . Then determine their medical needs. Contact hospice MD for medication orders. This position provided me with autonomy to determine needs and related back to MD . Provide support for families.
As a Registered Nurse at South Lake Hospital I worked on the Orthopedic unit. I worked with post op patients, shoulders, knees,hands are a few examples. I pre and post open them to monitor for complications.
At Health Central I received extensive TB,HIV, patient experience. Assisted with IV insertion instruction. I worked on medical, PCU, Surgical as rotation.
