Reporting to the Weapons Engineering Program Director in the Associate Laboratory Directorate for Weapons Engineering Program Office (ALDW-PO), responsible for technical and programmatic oversight of matters critical to the ALDW that have the potential to impact the Laboratory’s performance against its contractual deliverables. Lead and execute a broad scope of mission assurance activities in support of the directorate and represent the directorate as needed for institutional initiatives.
Deployed Security Program Leader for Directors Office (DIR), Deputy Director for Weapons (DDW), and Associate Laboratory Director for Capital Projects (ALDCP) provides management and operational oversight for the SAFE-DS team under those organizations. Requirements include being results orientated with leadership, management, communication and interpersonal skills. Responsible for promoting safety, security, and quality in all operations.
Participate in the development and achievement of Group, Division, and Directorate goals for programmatic, business and operational security excellence, and business excellence and responsible for delivering high-quality customer service to (DIR, DDW, ALDCP) customers. Potential portfolio components include leading an effort to identify strategies for integrated ESHQ support to programs and projects across Los Alamos National Laboratory, and tracking budgets, identifying resource needs, supporting audits and assessments, and developing metrics to show the health of the program office. Work with Department of Energy, National Nuclear Security Administration and Environmental Management customers as well as with Laboratory leaders and program/project owners to determine what work will be done to achieve simultaneous excellence to meet customer needs, deliverable deadlines, milestones, and funding requirements associated with vital national security missions. Develop working relationships that span existing internal and external institutional missions and extend into new opportunities as policies, missions, and opportunities evolve.
