I am working towards my MSN, Nurse Executive track at Chamberlain University. I aspire to further my career into leadership thanks to Unreasonable Hospitality and Pete November. I graduated nursing school in 2013. During my schooling I was met with many challenges, abusive marriage ending in divorce, homelessness with three children, and my boyfriend whom I was pregnant for committed suicide during my last year of school. I say this to say I am very resilient. I am goal-oriented, a fast learner that pays attention to details, and very organized. I have never let anything get in the way of the future I felt God called me to have. Being a nurse is a calling. You can not teach compassion. Compassion is a characteristic that one simply has or does not have. I am grateful for the heart God gave me. Everyday I am a willing servant, willing for Him to use my hands and my feet to do His good works and care for others as He has always cared for me. I did not choose Nursing. Nursing chose me. Seeing how patients were treated in an ER changed everything for me. I withdrew from Business Law and enrolled in Nursing and never looked back. It is an honor to have my career, and I look forward to being the leader I am called to be.
