  • I am a Lead Technician for an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract which supplies cable installation to the Network Enterprise Center (NEC) at Fort Gordon, Georgia. I manage a team of 3 FTE Telecommunications Installers which all work on this contract. With respect to the Cabling Infrastructure task order, upon receipt of a Government SOW, I read the SOW thoroughly and executed a Site Survey (walk through) of the location where work is to be executed with my Supervisor and the Government’s Communications Planners. After receiving an approved task order and start date, my Supervisor and I order deliverable items/equipment required to accomplish the specific task. I ensure that all installations and maintenance work are accomplished in accordance with the Government’s Compliance Standards. I also keep my Supervisor informed about the daily progress as work begin and proceed on each task order. Upon the completion of each task order, I ensure that a complete signal flow test is executed for all copper or fiber cabling installed or upgraded. I ensure that all work demonstrates a complete “high speed” signal flow, and that all work conforms to the latest edition of NFPA/National Electric Code, the building code and all local codes and ordinances, as applicable.

  • I was the Lead Technician for an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract which supplies cable installation to the Network Enterprise Center (NEC) at Fort Gordon, Georgia. I managed a team of 7 FTE Telecommunications Installers which all work on this contract. With respect to the Cabling Infrastructure task order, upon receipt of a Government SOW, I read the SOW thoroughly and executed a Site Survey (walk through) of the location where work was to be executed with the with my Supervisor and the Government’s Communications Planners. Within 48 hours (2 working days) after the Site Survey, I assisted my Supervisor in submitting a detailed Task Order Price Estimate (TOPE) and a detailed listing of all Deliverable Items/Equipment that was to be installed to the Communications Planners for each specific task order. Prior to the award of any task order, I collaborated with my Supervisor and the Government’s Communications Planners at NEC to provide an estimate of all labor and materials required in completing each task order. After receiving an approved task order and start date, my Supervisor and I ordered deliverable items/equipment required to accomplish the specific task. I ensured that all installations and maintenance work were accomplished in accordance with the Government’s Compliance Standards.   • In this position I installed, terminated, and tested Fiber Optic and CAT6 Copper cables to meet EIA/TIA wiring standards and practice. Upon the completion of each task order, I ensured that a complete signal flow test was executed for all copper or fiber cabling installed or upgraded. I ensured that all work demonstrated a complete “high speed” signal flow, and that all work conformed to the latest edition of NFPA/National Electric Code, the building code and all local codes and ordinances, as applicable. I assisted my Supervisor, the Government’s Communications Planners and Customers with a final walk through and answered questions at the end of completed job task. After all tasks had been completed, I provided the Government’s Communication Planners with a CD ROM which documented the results of all testing and any related schematic diagrams at the end of each task order.
