with over 30 years in transportation I took a bit of an early retirement due to pension plan/interest rate considerations knowing i would be back to engage in the not to distant future and with an eye towards the Willow project in the not too distant future. I have been blessed with good health and maintain a level of fitness and stamina that would enable me to to continue in this role as a very active and engaged associate. This role would touch on many skills, knowledge and relationships learned and developed over many years and I would humbly suggest that this makes me uniquely qualified to fulfill this role. I look forward to the challenge!
Transitioning from owner operator with the acquisition of Frontier Transportation by Alaska West Express in 1994 i quickly went from dispatcher to running the lower 48 operation. my role encompassed oversight and hands on movement of a large amount of the project freight on the North Slope and supporting equipment and production compounds for vendors to Conoco Phillips. Many of these projects included oversize modules and most were a inter-modal requiring inbound highway movement to Seattle/Tacoma and truck from Anchorage to destination. in addition I (we) moved a large percentage of heavy equipment , Caterpillar, Volvo, Komatsu for vendors to North Slope contractors. My experience as a CDL holding driver with Dalton highway experience combined with education and high energy, hands on leadership provided an effective platform to manage our Tacoma operation and interface with Marine operators to successfully tackle some of the most challenging movements in support of Alaska's North Slope
