My motto is "Make Every Meal Memorable" Residents often times don't get a lot of social interactions in a day, I try to use every meal as a way to connect with residents, ask about their days, what plans they have, and even just sit with them if needed. I think what makes a great server is knowing who you are serving and that i something i always strive to remember.
Teamwork and Collaboration is also a big thing. Especially when trying to serve 30+ people in one night. Teamwork to me means not just collaborating with teammates but everyone doing their part while also helping when needed.

At Exton Senior Living I would prep food, things like bacon, dinner rolls, and sandwiches. I would often times not only make dessert but plate them as well. In addition to plating dessert i would plate dinner and lunches for memory care. At mealtime i would serve drinks and meals, fix any problem that arose with residents, and help make ever dinner a memorable one. After mealtime it would be my responsibility to clean up the waitstation, prep station, dishwash station, and help with the kitchen clean up. Clean up consisted of sweeping, moping, wiping down and disinfecting areas, dating and putting food away, and completing temp logs.
