As a government employee of this body that regulates the profession and chemical industries in the country, I had the opportunity to deepen my knowledge of processes and learn/apply the relevant current legislation.
Being an inspector of industries and companies in the chemical area gave me the opportunity to deal on a daily basis with operators, engineers, directors, owners and investors of different companies. In addition, I participated in meetings and had daily contact with illustrious professors and professionals who are national references in the field of chemistry and its legislation.
Organization, planning, continuous studies and search for solutions were characteristics that were always present during my time at the company.

Some of the daily activities developed were (but not restricted to):
- Carrying out of inspection visits to ensure compliance of practices and procedures, in accordance with technical and legal standards;

- Improving inspection efficiency by implementing data analysis tools and techniques;
- Preparation of reports and opinions on chemical industrial processes;
- Preparation of the agenda for inspection together with the team;
- Participation in professional development courses;
- Preparation and delivery of training for students and professionals in the field of chemistry.

Andritz is a company that provides equipment, plants, systems and technologies for industries all over the world. I worked in the Automation division giving support to engineers in the US, Brazil and in India.
The fact of supporting different teams gave me the capacity of multitasking and jump in on whatever needed to make the team prosper. Besides that, the job required of me commitment, capacity to work proactively and independently. Organization and high attention to details were characteristics that helped me succeed in this position.

Some of the daily activities developed were:
- Management and improvement of the system for the reception of enginnering documentation;
- Process Modeling using PFD’s/P&ID’s;
- Reviewing and improvement of existing models;
- Creation of quality documents (assembly of simulation systems, start-up of plants and modeling phases) that helped to standardize internal processes and improve the transmission of knowledge within the company;
- Organization and delivering of trainings on process simulation that helped disseminate the company's simulator to universities and prospective users;
- Developing customer training;
- Process Validation for large mining and pulp and paper projects;
- Creation of IO’s for communication with the control system and typicals for engine drive;
- Supporting to engineers abroad in carrying out projects.

As a student in the University of Birmingham, I took part in the conduction of a research project developed in partnership with the mining company Imerys S.A..

The main activities developed were:

- Conduction of literature reviews to identify relevant articles and support project objective;

- Development of research proposals and plans always seeking the pursue of higher success rates;

- Designing of experiments aiming to test hypotheses;

- Implementation of quality control procedures in order to minimize errors and ensure the accuracy of the results;

- Performance of a detailed and meticulous data collection in order to support research findings;

- Utilization of statistical software for accurate data analysis;

- Presentation of the findings at conferences and to the supervisors.

Planning, evaluation of results and teamwork were the main characteristics developed for this position as a project advisor.

Some of the daily activities developed were(but not restricted to):

- Development, Management and Implementation of project indicators in order to assure the quality and efficiency of the projects developed by the company;

- Coordination of teams to ensure alignment for timely project delivery;

- Conduction of regular progress reviews and implementation of corrective actions when needed;

- search and implementation of external partnerships to carry out social projects;

- creation of documents and technical manuals.

In this position, I performed assistance to researchers and PhD students on the development of corrosion and materials projects in the Nuclear Energy Department.

Activities developed:

- Assistance in the completion of research projects, conducting literature reviews and gathering relevant information;

- Discussion and elaboration of experiments plan;

- Supported researchers in the completion and development of experiments, assuring quality control and the accuracy of the results;

- Increased efficiency in lab operations by maintaining a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols;

- Analysis of results using data tools and presentation of results in conferences.

As a Chemistry Technician and Junior Research Assistant, the following activities were present in a daily routine:

- Compliance with safety laboratory protocols for handling chemical products, and materials, reducing the risks of accidents;

- Improvement of laboratory efficiency by implementing optimized techniques and procedures;

- Conduction of analysis with accurate quality control to ensure compliance with the standards;

- Optimization of the synthesis of new materials aiming to follow safe and efficient chemical routes;

- Conduction of experiments and data analysis to assist the development of project researches;

- Training of junior technicians in daily activities assuring the quality and safety of the procedures;

- Presentation of research findings in conferences and universities fairs.

As a Junior Research Assistant, I helped senior researches on the performance of material science projects.

The main activities developed were:

- Supported project leads with literature reviews;

- Assisted in the development of research methodologies, contributing to more accurate results and insights;

- Collaborated with the execution of experiments and collection of data;

- Elaborated quality documents to ensure the efficiency and security of procedures;

- Presented results to supervisors.
